I am an avid reader who devours books when time allows. I am a reader of a number of genres: historical fiction, popular fiction, thrillers and mysteries. My favorite genre is historical fiction, because - let’s face it – they are fairy tales with great clothes! Every week, I check out the book sections in several papers and other “bookie” sites to find out what is coming out and when. I will share that great information with you all as I can.
My two favorite things to do: to sit in the sun reading and to sit curled up on the couch on a snowy/rainy day with the cats curled up nearby. I do read actual books with paper pages as well as use an ereader. I do not favor one over the other unless I have to carry them around. The best part about ereaders – you can throw them in your purse.
Some of my favorite authors include: Chris Bohjalian, Jodi Picoult, Nora Roberts (AKA J.D. Robb), Kristin Hannah, Susan Mallery, Elin Hilderbrand and Jill Shalvis.
Some of my favorite books include: Lord of the Rings, The Handmaid’s Tale, The Double Bind, My Sister’s Keeper, The Weight of Water, The Red Tent, Morning Glory, The Wolf and the Dove, and The Flame and the Flower.
Some series I follow include: ‘Eve Dallas’ in Death (J.D. Robb), Maisie Dobb’s Series (Jacqueline Winspear), Fool’s Gold (Susan Mallery), Number –‘Stephanie Plum’ (Janet Evanovich) and Lucky Harbor (Jill Shalvis). There are many smaller series that I am reading and as the books are reviewed I will specify.
